Big Dam Bridge

The Big Dam Bridge is the largest bicycle bridge and the longest pedestrian in America. The bridge is built for bicycles. The bridge is named the Big Dam Bridge for its massive structure. The Big Dam Bridge is constructed over the span of 4,226 feet atop Murray Dam and Lock. The bridge connects scenic riverside trails that go over 14 miles.

These scenic riverside trails can be found in the cities of North Little Rock and Little Rock. The bridge is also elevated 90 feet above the Arkansas River. Furthermore, the bridge also assists in connecting 70 000 acres of many counties, states and cities. It is also one of the few bridges that serve pedestrians and cyclists in Little Rock.

Arkansas River Trail

You will find this river trail on the west side of the Big Dam Bridge. This river trail is a 15-mile loop that goes both ways, to the north and south of the Arkansas River. There are a total of five bicycle bridges and pedestrians connected to the river trail. This makes the river trail easy to access from both sides.

Seeing this trail is a must if you make it to the Big Dam Bridge. The trail offers significance to hikers, outdoor enthusiasts and cyclists. It connects 23 parks and attractions. It also connects more than 70 miles of additional trails.

Cooks Landing Park

If you are into fishing, then make sure you pay a visit to Cooks Landing Park. The place offers plenty of spots for fishing.
